The driving & living experience” by Caavanbacci, three dream weekends in a stunning Carthago camper van<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]An initiative that took place during the weekends of 20 November 2015, 29 January, and 11 March 2016.<\/p>\n

The protagonists were five Carthago motorhomes, made available to tourists, who, with the help of specialist guides, travelled through villages, hills and parks to discover the flavours and wonders of Tuscany.<\/p>\n

08:00 Breakfast service with delivery directly to the motorhomes 09:00 Departure for the medieval village of Vicopisano distance approx. 20 mins driving Viconet<\/a><\/em> 09:30 Guided tour of the Romanesque parish church, the village, the fortress and Brunelleschi’s tower 11:30 Visit to the Vicopisano oil mill<\/a> for enhanced tasting of the new oil – distance 10 mins by foot <\/em> 14:30 Departure for the Calci Charterhouse – distance 20mins – 12km<\/em> 15:00 Guided visit to Charterhouse<\/a> and the Natural Museum<\/a> with entry to exclusive places and tasting of local products 18:00 Departure for San Giuliano Spa – distance 16mins – 10km<\/em> We will park in the centre, near to the Spa<\/a> where we will stay overnight – 7:30 p.m. Apericena at the Bagni di Pisa spa and thermal baths<\/p>\n

08:00 Breakfast service with delivery directly to the motorhomes 09:30 Departure for Vecchiano with arrival at the mouth of the Serchio river – distance 30 mins – 17km<\/em> 10:00 Meeting with the administration of the municipality of Vecchiano and guided tour with the designer of the Orto delle Dune di Marina di Vecchiano, walk in the Bocca di Serchio reserve. Lunch in a restaurant on the dunes. 16:00 Return to Caravanbacci – distance 40 mins – 50km<\/em><\/p>\n

\n19:00 Arrival in Fosdinovo and accommodation in a car park overlooking the sea and the castle – distance 1h 30 mins- 103km<\/em>Meeting with the Mayor Camilla Bianchi, aperitif and dinner in Fosdinovo with local food; panoramic night walk on the coast and the Luni plain. Overnight stay in Fosdinovo.<\/p>\n

\nWe leave for our destination and our visit to the Nicoli workshop (UNESCO site, messenger of the culture of peace) http:\/\/www.nicoli-sculptures.com\/scultura\/storia.asp
\nAscent to the quarries and a pause in the village of Colonnata with lard tasting and visit.
\nAfter a few kilometres we will arrive at the car park for the overnight stay in the Cave dei Fantiscritti area.

\n10:30 Arrival on the beautiful Gulf of Baratti and stop inside the Archaeological Park with a guided tour of the necropolis – distance 1h – 91km
\n<\/em>14.00 p.m. Arrival in the centre of Piombino with a stop in a reserved car park offering a view of the Island of Elba -. distance 10km<\/em> Brief walk to reach the stunning Castello di Piombino with a guided visit. Time permitting, a walk to the beautiful square of Bovio and the historic centre of Piombino.
\n17:00 Relocation for an overnight stop at the equipped area in Venturina, just 50m from the entrance to the Il Calidario spa – distance 15 km <\/em>Possibility to bathe in the warm thermal waters.
